1. Scope
These terms apply to the purchasing and export service offered by Dr. Import, Rue de Morges 22, 1023 Crissier, Switzerland ("we") under the name Swiss Watch Buyer to clients located outside Switzerland ("you").
2. Our service
On your instructions, we buy a specific watch identified by you on the Swiss market, in our own name and for your account, inspect it visually, and ship it to you. We are not the manufacturer or the original seller of the watch and do not act as an authorised dealer of any brand.
3. Quote and order
We send you a written quote listing the price of the watch, our service fee, shipping and insurance costs, and information on customs. A contract is formed when you accept the quote in writing and we confirm receipt of your payment. Quotes are valid for the period indicated, subject to the watch still being available from the seller.
4. Payment
Payment is due in advance by bank transfer to the Swiss bank account of Dr. Import, in the currency stated on the quote. Bank charges on your side are borne by you. We do not buy the watch before your payment has been received.
5. If the purchase cannot be completed
If the seller withdraws, the watch is no longer available, or the watch received clearly does not match the listing and the seller takes it back, we inform you without delay and refund the amounts you paid for the purchase that could not be completed, or apply them to another purchase if you prefer.
6. Inspection and authenticity
We visually inspect the watch and document its condition with photos and video before dispatch. This inspection is not a technical expertise or a certificate of authenticity. Any warranty on the watch is that given by the manufacturer or the seller. An independent inspection by a watchmaker can be ordered as an optional service.
7. Shipping, risk and insurance
We ship by express courier, insured for the value declared on the export documents. Transit times given are indicative. Please inspect the parcel on delivery and report any visible damage to the courier and to us immediately.
8. Customs duties and taxes
Import duties, taxes and fees in the destination country are your responsibility unless the quote expressly states that they are prepaid. We always declare the true value of the shipment. If a delivery is refused or duties are not paid, return and storage costs are charged to you.
9. Returns
Because we buy a specific watch on your instructions, the possibility of returning it depends on the seller's own conditions. Mandatory rights under the law applicable to you remain unaffected.
10. Export controls and sanctions
We comply with Swiss export control and sanctions law. We do not deliver to countries, persons or end uses subject to Swiss sanctions, including the ban on exporting luxury goods to Russia and Belarus, and we may request information about the end user or refuse any order that does not meet legal requirements.
11. Liability
We are liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. To the extent permitted by law, any further liability, in particular for indirect damage, lost profit or delays caused by sellers, couriers or authorities, is excluded.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is Lausanne, Switzerland, subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules. Last updated: October 2026.
