How our Swiss watch buying service works

From the link you send us to the parcel at your door, here is exactly what happens, who does what, and how your money and your watch are protected at every stage.

1. You find the watch

Browse any Swiss source: a dealer's website, an online shop, Chrono24, Ricardo, a classified ad or an auction catalogue. When you find the watch you want, send us the link or a screenshot through our quote form, by email or on WhatsApp.

Not sure yet? Tell us the brand, model and reference you are looking for and your budget. We can point you to suitable listings currently available in Switzerland.

2. We check and quote

We contact the seller, confirm the watch is still available, ask for any missing details (box, papers, service history, condition) and agree on how we will collect it.

You then receive one written quote that lists the watch price, our service fee, insured shipping to your address and the customs situation for your country. Nothing happens until you approve it.

3. You confirm and pay

When you accept the quote, you pay by bank transfer to the Swiss business account of Dr. Import. You receive a proper invoice in your name. We only commit to the seller once your payment has arrived.

4. We buy, collect and inspect

We purchase the watch in our company name on your behalf and either collect it in person or have it delivered to our office in Crissier.

On arrival we compare the watch with the listing: reference, serial number where visible, condition, bracelet, box, papers and accessories. You receive a set of high-resolution photos and a short video. If something does not match, we tell you before going any further.

5. We ship it to you

The watch is packed discreetly, without any brand marking on the outer box, and shipped by DHL Express or another express courier, insured for its full value. We prepare the commercial invoice and export declaration so the parcel leaves Switzerland correctly.

You receive the tracking number immediately. Depending on your country, import duties and taxes are either prepaid with the shipment or paid on delivery; your quote tells you which in advance.
